Harborside Golf

Illinois International Port District

Harborside logoGolf’s ancient beginnings were founded on the Scottish, English and Irish seasides. These lands were treeless, windswept and full of high grassy dunes, tufted mounds and tangled roughs, and they were truly the strips of earth that linked the land to the sea. As the popularity of golf has grown over the years, many of these great links courses have withstood the test of time and still today are chosen as the sites for The Open Championship, the oldest major championship in golf.

Harborside International’s two exceptional courses, Port & Starboard, were designed by renowned architect Dick Nugent to bring this great tradition of links golf to Chicago.

Located just 16 minutes from the downtown loop area, Harborside brings championship style links golf, open to the public, to Chicago’s doorstep. No other course in the area can combine the rugged links exterior with sculpted fairways and manicured greens that make Harborside the finest choice for locals and travelers to enjoy traditional links golf.

Whether you want to enjoy a business-related round of golf or just a leisurely game with friends, Harborside delivers the best that Chicago has to offer in golf. Elevated tees and greens, offering stunning views of Chicago’s skyline, will remind you how close you are to the office and to home, yet you will feel like you are across the pond at St. Andrews or Carnoustie.

The amenities at Harborside continue on with a magnificent 24,000 square foot Prairie Style clubhouse, offering food by Chicago’s top restaurateur, Phil Stefani, in our Pier 37 Restaurant. The clubhouse offers the capacity for up to 300 people for outings, meetings and banquets.

Personalized country club style service will greet you from the moment you arrive and includes an outstanding Golf Shop, locker rooms and top-rated 57 acre practice/teaching facility offering course-like conditions (bent grass, putting green and short game area).
